Welcome

Welcome to Bee responsible… Beehive Management Services

Bee responsible… are a discreet team of reliable beekeepers who provide a unique, professional beehive management service for our clients throughout the home counties.

In 2017, beekeeper Pamela Chambers founded Bee responsible… (appropriately named) to raise awareness of the plight of the Honeybee and encourage and support individuals and businesses who wish to invest in a long-term commitment, to learn about and support their own hives of Honeybees.

Bee responsible… offers fully managed service packages, including mentoring, to support not only individuals and families, but to assist corporates and private estates to improve their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Biodiversity, Conservation and Sustainability objectives.

Our goal is to educate our clients about Honeybees, to understand the impact that bees and other pollinating insects have on our eco-system and to work towards leaving a much healthier legacy for the next generation.

Did you know:

Honeybees are highly evolved insects and have been buzzing around this planet for over 100 million years?

Seventy of the one hundred crop species that provide ninety percent of food worldwide, are pollinated by bees?

250 million flowering plants depend on Honeybees and other pollinating insects to reproduce and create healthy, higher yielding offspring?

Pollination services provided by bees are critical for both ecosystem function and crop production and are estimated to be worth between £430 million and £603 million a year to the UK agricultural industry (based on 2017 figures)?

Raw hive products produced by honeybees such as beeswax, honey, propolis, bee venom and Royal Jelly are used in cosmetics, natural health foods and products, medicine, pharmaceutical preparations, manufacturing and industry?

But did you also know that since 1970, bees have been rapidly declining in numbers? Various factors are responsible for the downward freefall of the bee and insect populations and if this is not addressed and reversed soon, ultimately our ecosystem and quality of life on this planet will be compromised.

Through education, training and management services, Bee responsible… supports individuals, families, businesses and communities who choose to invest in Honeybees, their local environment, biodiversity and the future.
